Patti and I wanted to sell the house as soon as possible and find an RV park where we could live in our “Palace” until she was able to retire (sometime in June 2017). Sounds like a great plan however there were 2 issues:

• It is November 2016
• We live in a Chicago suburb

You see the problem right? Winter is coming and if we want to sell the house and move into the RV – we need to find an RV park that is open all year. In some places of the country, not a problem. However in the Chicagoland area, big problem. I searched and searched and when I thought we would just have to wait until spring, I found Sycamore RV Resort!!

This place is amazing!!  Literally a 4 block walk to downtown Sycamore but in a very quiet area surrounded by 2 lakes! One of the lakes even has a beach! Dale and Anita Cappel own this resort and work very hard to keep it up! Everyday I see Dale doing something to make the resort beautiful and updated!

We wanted a premier spot overlooking the lake with all of the necessary items – Electricity/Water/Sewer. Fortunately they had hookups to accommodate us and worked perfectly all winter long. And now with summer approaching, this is the view from our Palace:

So we highly recommend Sycamore RV Resort when you are in the Chicago area!  It is about an hour and a half from downtown Chicago and very convenient to all of the Chicago suburbs!
